Not anymore, but ds1 was for a year. I failed miserably at cake but his favourite treat was rice crispie cakes made with marshmallows, great!
The egg replacer comment up thread made me think I was replacing egg but I found that flax seed or banana as an egg replacer was much better. I still never managed a proper cake, my Vic sponge was horrendous! Search for vegan cakes, I hope you have better luck than me.
Beware gf bread, I didn't find any that was egg free, rice cakes were my substitute for snacking and dried polenta substituted for breadcrumbs in cooking.
We ate a lot of casseroles, buck wheat pancakes, polenta and quinoa instead of couscous. Rice pudding made with coconut cream was yummy. Actually I used a lot of coconut cream in curries too. Nutritionally it is a very good food. I used kara coconut milk because ds was too young for rice milk, we went through a no almond phase and oatly isn't gf.
Product wise Nakd bars were wonderful treats (dates and nuts mostly but good!). He ate a lot of Birdseye potato waffles, baked beans and gf sausages.
I made, and still do make actually, ds a lot of peanut 'biscuits' - 2 really heaped tbsp peanut butter, 1 tspn vanilla, 2tbsp maple syrup or honey heated in the microwave for 30 secs to 1 min, stirred then add 1/4cup milled flax, 1/4 flaked quinoa from the Heath food shop, 1/4 coconut and 1/4 rice crispies. While warm use your hands to mould into biscuit shapes and fridge for 20mins. Very easy to eat too many!
As for eating out, a lot of pizza chains now do gf pizza which ds ate without the cheese (depends on how sensitive to gluten you are), we found pubs that had gf fryers and ordered chips and a fish and chip place that had a gf night when they changed their oil. Other than that, I confess it was a struggle. Be careful of chips that have flour on them to coat.
For more ideas I liked the intolerant gourmet by Pippa kendrick. Pig in the kitchen website had some good recipes too. Good luck, it isn't easy.
