Wondering if anyone can help?

He's 14 months, has known egg and nut allergies and still breastfeeding. We've very careful with his allergies. In the last week, he's been excessively itching his neck - just at night though. Not in the day. It's disturbing his sleep, I can see he needs to sleep and wants to, but keeps jerking around and scratching at his neck.

His initial infections and eczema were caused by the allergies and all over his body. This is totally localised to one area.

I've not changed any detergent, or sleeping clothes/bedding and we keep his room cool.

Hi, I have a dd which has suffered all her life with allergies. It is not always easy to know why these things trigger. I would recommend the usual as with a dustmite allergy for any night time problems. 60 degree washes for bedding, anti dustmite pillows and duvets. Freezing all teddies to limit dustmite allergens. Limit carpets and curtains/all soft furnishings. Use 100% cotton for bedding to allow his skin to breath and 100% cotton clothing.
Has he by any chance been wearing a thick winter coat with any type of thick or fluffy colar to agrevate around his neck. My dd is older now but as soon as she put on her winter coat the other day off triggered her neck. She uses an antihistamine all through the summer for pollen allergens but also for occassions which trigger her dustmite allergy but your ds is probably too young yet. My dd also has a nut allergy like your ds and many food allergies, also suffers eczema and asthma ect. Good luck hope he improves soon
