Feeding troubles and possible EoE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis)

Hello there,
I'm looking for some advice. My son has just turned 6 months and I've been advised to get on and wean by the Paediatrician whilst awaiting the GI referral to come through.
He has had silent reflux from birth misdiagnosed by lactation "consultants" as tongue tie and nipple confusion leading me to predominantly bottle feeding ebm with formula top-ups for 3 months. After which point switching to full formula led to a deterioration in fussy feeder resulting mainly dream-feeding. Things got better with neocate (nutramigen made things worse) but are by no means normal and I'm housebound due to his fussy feeding behaviour - he won't feed whilst we're out resulting in a viscious cycle of hunger worsening reflux and further feeding refusal. We have just switched from zantac to losec too.
The paedaitrician thinks he needs a scope to look for eosiniphilic esophagitis. Seems likely to me as he's had eczema from 6 weeks old and earlier attempts at introducing solids (rice in the bottle) had disastrous effects.
Luckily we live in London and have been referred to GOSH but whilst we wait- do I wean?? I have read some parents of EE children say there children were not weaned until after the age of one and others say that GOSH encourage early introduction of foods. Any advice or experience out there please?
Much appreciated
Sam

Hi Sam
You might find this group a good place to make contact with parents who are or have been in a similar situation to you.

I hope your referral to GOSH comes through soon and you get some answers. Being in limbo really sucks.
Thanks
