Dd has been prescribed it for her skin. Ds reacted but I thought I'd try as she may not. She's been screaming half the night and has come up with itchy red spots in the areas I applied it. Only put it on 4 times.

My DD was too. Doublebase fine though. Don't used it again.

That stuff is awful

Used it once on dd, she screamed it was burning 20 minutes later and I had to hose her down in the shower

I am allergic to the cream but the ointment is wonderful stuff

Thanks, there's no way I'm putting it on her again! Back to the docs. Ds reacted to double base too. Might just ask for dermol. Its the only thing he didn't react too so hoping DD will be the same.

I use an emollient called zerobase that might work.

I put it on DD's eczema and it stung my (non eczema-y) hands. Awful stuff.

Sounds like a reaction is quite common! Would piritonhelp for the itching? She's now twitching in her sleep because of it.

i was prescribed diprobase for my eczema, made my skin blister after first application. i now use dermol which seems ok.

We ran out of diprobase last week, and I hadn't put a new prescription in so thought I'd use some unfragranced Neals Yard moisturiser for a few days - lo and behold the eczema that has been on my son's legs for 6 months since his vaccinations has disappeared!
