Someone very helpful will be along in a minute, good luck :)

Ask the person/parent of person with the allergies, they're more likely to have suggestions than anyone else and can warn you to watch out for hidden stuff they know is in some brands of food.

Butternut squash pilaf, I got the recipe off the Internet just Leave the tomato purée out. Uses brown rice as ds can't have white.
Most type of meat sandwiches on bread.
Oven cooked sausage and caramelised onions on a sunflower and honey pave us beautiful (just cut open the pave drizzle with olive oil and place in the oven at the bottom for the last five mins of sausage cooking time) or use focaccia instead.
Chicken pie
Chicken and mushroom pie
Roasted root veg with roast chicken/beef and extra yorkshires....
Fish with steamed green beans and couscous
I do a mean side dish of steamed red cabbage with smoked bacon and beetroot.
Egg fried rice (we used brown for this, homemade is less greasy)

My son can't have potatoes either so am getting good at this, he bloody loves chocolate though. We are not low fat though. Not sure whether its a dinner or a party you are catering for so just done ideas. Fill up on protein and veg.

Apologies for the spelling errors, on my phone.

If I ask her she will just say Plain pasta because she doesn't want to make a fuss as she is embarrassed by it, poor girl. I just wanted to show her someone cared enough to make an effort.
Thank you for those suggestions Spottybra, I could do the pilaf as a starter and a sea bass with some steamed veg. Do you think couscous & pilaf would be to samey.

Pilaf is brown rice and couscous is just, well , a grainy couscous.

I think that she should appreciate your efforts! It's not easy, I'm still getting my head around no potatoes, pasta or white rice for ds, and getting the family diet to accommodate it so that we can all eat the same, as well as eat well and healthily.

I get my inspiration from Mediterranean, Middle East and far eastern diets. Not sure how much time you have but you could google them?

Vegetable or chicken buryani is also a favourite.
