Can we have a list of places to eat out that have good/not so good allergy info?

Luckily (!!) we are fairly straightforward with a lactose intolerance but its useful to know where to avoid.

Pizza express were v helpful and edited dishes for ds & I also good online
McDs has good online info
KFC staff were v helpful
Asda were crap and had to trawl through a big folder of sheets and had lots of dishes missing!

Asda are indeed not very good - in our experience, they have sometimes been unable to find any ingredients at all for the food they are serving in the cafe.

Sainsbury's cafe also not very good - there is milk in virtually everything.

We tend to stick to McDonalds Sad

I like chains where I can read the allergy info online beforehand such as Table Table, Beefeater, Wetherspoons and Bella Italia. DS allergic to milk, wheat, eggs and nuts plus DD coeliac so we're pretty restricted on where we can eat out.

This has made me very aware of how tough it must be for proper allergies.
We have a couple of veggie cafes locally so easy to eat vegan too.

Have you had 'we haven't dairy free but we've gluten free' as if its an option what you don't eat?

Yes OodAlpha we have had that many times! Angry

I thought being offered fish as a veggie option was bad until this.

Wagamamas is really good. They have a great sheet which shows what is in every dish. DS2 is allergic to milk, eggs, nuts and sesame but could eat most things on the kids menu and loved the food!

wetherspoons is normally pretty good- DH can't have wheat and we have always been able to find out what the ingrediants are- it's on the menu

sainsburys cafe and dobbies are now on my avoid list.

Dobbies said the chef didn't know what was in the foodHmm and sainsburys counter staff didn't appear to know what I was talking aboutAngry
