Does dd really have a cmpi? Not so sure

Hi all, my dd is 6 months and when she was around 2 months I thought she might b cmpi. She was very windy, green poo, mucus in her poo, very unsettled, feeding constantly. Few months on and I'm still breastfeeding and starting to wean her. My dh suggested I try dairy again and do I did. There was no major reaction, no mucus in her stools, no massive amounts of wind. She has never had a problem with weight gain either. She does however wriggle around whilst feeding at night time and feeds a lot through the night, every 2-3 hours. The cmpi was never tested as the paed said there was no point in testing.
I'm starting to get fed up with breastfeeding as it has been am emotional struggle since day one and would love to get her on formula. We have cow and gate pepti, which dd hates and I'm not surprised its gross!! Or should I just try normal formula?
I'm not sure what to do anymore, is she really dairy intolerant? Can I start giving her dairy? I can I continue eating dairy?

My DS is 2 and we have had issues with cmp or lactose in cows milk. Not sure which.

Thrashing around at night was one of his symptoms, as well as being unsettled and not sleeping well, most likely due to gut pain I suppose.

He is fine with goats milk, butter and cheese. But cow milk, butter and cheese set him off unless its a very small amount.

The biggest sign of DS reaction to cows milk products is the smell! Vile yellow poo with a very distinct sour cheesy vomit smell! Does your Ds poo smell like that?

Issues with cows milk are really common but can be temporary - sometimes stomach bugs can make a child intolerant for a few months.

Sorry, I mean your DD, not DS!

And yes, as you have tried her on dairy with no apparent reaction, in your situation I would try normal formula, but be aware of her behaviour, sleep patterns and what her bowl movements are like - if she reacts to it, it may not be a sudden thing, symptoms may develop over a few days.
