DS (just turned 1) is allergic to dairy and soya. He has a bottle of pepti junior morning and evening, but likes a drink of oatly too. I've seen individual size cartons of soya milk, but not any other 'milk' - does such a thing exist? I wold like to be able to take a carton out on picnics etc over the summer hols! Alternatively, how well does oatly keep if I take some out in a beaker all day?
Thanks!

My local holland & Barrett used to stock oatly in small individual cartons. They even did a chocolate one. Haven't seen them in there in a while. Look at the oatly website.

Sainsburys sell individual cartons of rice milk. I've not seen smaller sized Oatly.

Just to say rice milk isn't suitable for under 5's. How about coconut milk? I'm sure you get that in little cartons.

Why is rice milk not suitable for under 5's?? My 1 yo has it every night as he can't have cows milk and won't drink soya (only has it on cereal). Sorry to hijack

Rice contains low levels of arsenic. However because under 5s have low body weight, the arsenic absorbed is higher than that which would be taken up by an older child or adult. Also arsenic bioaccumulates, like a few other contaminates, such as mercury, meaning the more that is taken in, over time the worse the symptoms.

Its not enough on its own to cause major issues, but it can potentially contribute to a higher consumption, which, over time can cause symptoms. There are lots of other alternatives out there. Please consider switching to one of them.

We don't regularly use Rice milk but have used the little cartons v occasionally (as suggested by the hospital dietician) if we are away for the weekend so DS can have breakfast cereal etc.

You can now get almond milk and hazelnut milk (Alpro and Blue Diamond are two of the bigger manufacturers) as long as no nut allergies, obviously! They are are great for making smoothies/ice lollies with too.
