Eczema and Suncream

My 3.5 yr old son has had eczema since he was born. It seems to flare up really badly in the summer as it is a reaction to suncream. I have tried every single cream anyone can possibly sell but the only one that works is an ambre solaire one but its nearly £20 a can! I know he wont need it every week but it is still quite expensive. My friend also has an allergy to suncream and she has the same issue where she can only use a particular "off the shelf" suncream but she is able to get a prescription to cover the cost.

Anyone else had this problem and would I be able to get a prescription?

Thanks in advance

No one here will be able to tell you whether your GP will prescribe you sun cream.

It is very expensive, my doctor said no chance. But some do. GL.

WhiteTrashed is right, very few GPs will prescribe suncream but even if they do they are only certain ones they can prescribe and I'm not sure ambre solaire would be one of them. My DS has sever eczema and we too have tried loads of different suncreams and I now buy Sunsense online at a ridiculous price.
