Refusal of Ventolin

im in my 30 s and was diagnosed with asthma when i was 7

up until a few years ago gettin Ventolin was never a problem

now i have been cut down to 1 inhaler,i have seen the asthma nurse who told me i should try deep breathing when i have an asthma attack

im going on holiday next week for 3 weeks and ive been given 1 inhaler

its a joke

anyone had this problem

One ventolin inhaler should last for more than 3 weeks anyway. If you are using more than that either it is being over used or your asthma isn't controlled and you need other medication.

Do you mean you've only been prescribed a preventer and no Ventolin? If so, then I think that's very dangerous as asthmatics should always have access to a reliever (eg Ventolin) in case of an asthma attack. Sirzy's right though about 1 Ventolin inhaler lasting more than 3 weeks as long as your asthma is well controlled by the preventer (usually brown or orange) and in fact if your asthma is controlled properly you should only need the reliever occasionally eg during exercise or when unwell.
