Help with trying new foods

Hello

DD had another skin prick test a couple of weeks ago to check for some of the foods I have been a bit suspicious about. Some of them were positive, but some were ok, yayyy! So I need to start to try some of these.

I'm thinking of starting with onion first, so I've got an onion and would like to try a small amount and am now stuck with how to do this.

I use separate pots and pans due to cross contamination issues that we have experienced so if I cook some onion in a pan and she reacts, does that mean that the pan is out of bounds? Sorry if that's a really silly question, but I just don't know how to deal with it.

Also, if I were to fry a whole onion is some oil, I'd only want to use a small amount added to a basic meat recipe and then build up the quantities, so could I freeze the rest? If she was ok with it the first time I try it, can I give her some the next day and everyday after that? Or do I give some one day, and then wait a few days before trying again?

How do you all cope with this? I have been so afraid of this but the recent appointment sort of confirms that this is going to be a long term issue for us and I need to grab the bull by the horns so to speak and just get on and try new foods. I worry that she could potentially be allergic to any new food that she's never had before but she can't be, can she??? Confused

Next on the list after onion, is garlic, leeks, mango, fresh tomato and herbs like basil, so is it okay to assume that I can introduce those in the same way?

Many Thanks in advance
