I'm currently looking at these because the kids rooms are hard to keep dust proof with the mess of toys. Wondered if anyone already has one/ how they find it. Especially interested if anyone has the essau range in if they think its worth the cost.

Will watch this thread closely, thinking along the same lines re: getting a filter, I know exactly what you mean regarding toys etc.

do you mean like a fan with a HEPA filter? If so, we have a bionaire one. have had for a couple of years. it's really improved my asthma but not my skin. I don't use the ioniser function as I've read it can make asthma worse.

we have a bionaire one - quite useful
definitely good for asthma and I find the white noise drowns out the traffic noise at night

yes I've read that bionaire are noisy, interesting to hear your experience.

noise level increases when you up the fan speed - we tend to have it on the minimum overnight

Don't know what to do - there are some that are said to be silent but they don't take pollutants out of the air although they do reduce dust mites by restricting what they feed on. Found a recommendation for an expensive american air purifier not available here and for a bionaire brand not available here but can't find many reviews for products available in this country.
