OK, after months of drama dealing with DS's multiple allergies, I can't help it but the following made me smile (in a "how cute" way):

  • You tell him he can't have that bread because it has milk in it and he replies that "you can't have it either, because... because... it has coffee in it!!!" (BTW, I'm not allergic to coffee and the bread didn't have any coffee in it!)

  • You hand him a food product with a cartoon caracter printed on the front that, miraculously, he can have, and he tells you off saying he can't have that, before putting it back on the shelves.

-You go to an apointment with the paediatrician and realise most children at the room are waiting for an allergy appointment because they "read" the labels of anything they place in the toy supermarket trolley.

-You can't even scratch your ear before your DS tells you to stop or you will make it flare.

Any one else wants to add one?

oh yes,my ds is always saying",I can't have it,it's got nuts in it?"

He says it in a proud but ever so slightly sad way because he's disappointed.

He also will refuse something I offer him because he "can smell the nuts" .

For some strange reason when I'm driving and getting road rage my fav saying is "COME ON ARE YOU NUTS?"
he pipes up in the back "not me I'm allergic!"

DS was watching Kipper yesterday (HATE kipper BTW!) and decided that Kipper's ice cream "doesn't have any milk in it mummy because that's the same kind of ice cream I like".
