DD (2yrs) on CMP exclusion diet. Milk alternatives and any other useful tips?

My 2yr old DD is on a CMP exclusion diet for a few weeks at least. Since seeing the doctor yesterday she has had some soya milk but I'm a bit shocked at how sugary it is. Is there a less sugary one I could get that still tastes like something a 2 yr old would drink?

I tried rice milk but it was foul, are there any better ones? I picked up Alpro Soya original from the fridge section.

Any other good tips would be great, ways of increasing how much protein and calcium maybe? Should I be giving a supplement?

DD is allergic to walnuts and eggs, so can't give eggs to replace the dairy protein.

DS is 2 and is CMP intollerant. We've moved him onto Oatly oat milk (there are two sorts but I buy the one that has added vitamins and iron). It's definitely less sugary than Alpro.

TBH, I think that it is personal taste. I have 3 DS all dairy free. 1 drinks absolutely anything, 1 likes ice cold kara coconut milk - but only ice cold! the other is more accepting but prefers unsweetened alpro.
I spoke to the dietician about the sugar content of many of the dairy free substitutes. She said not to worry as all of mine are under weight for their height and nutrition was more important than keeping an eye on the sugar!
I give calcium supplements, but calcium can be found in lots of other foods.

Thanks, I might give the Oat one a try. I went into Tesco today and they didn't have it so I'll give Asda a try.

My ds2 loves Alpro chocolate milk from the chilled section. He has a mug of it warm every night before he goes to bed. We also use Vitalite spread, which is lovely on toast (pref with marmite - but that's down to individual taste!!).

Nut butters on toast for breakfast - my ds's love peanut butter, but I prefer cashew nut butter which has got a lovely sweet nuttiness to it.

Lots of milk substitute products have calcium added to them. As long as your dd is getting plenty of high impact exercise (ie running, skipping, jumping) she should be fine as the impact helps to build up the bones.

Oatly. Morrisons or waitrose but not in milk aisle like alpro soya, tends to be in gluten free area.
Cream oatly is great for cooking or puddings.
Orange oatly best for cooking like white sauce for lasagne
Red oatly has added calcium so I use this for drink and cereal
Alpro custard is fab
Alpro choc or vanilla puds
Cheese is no hoper!

Second that - Alpro custard is yummy cold. They also do a soya cream in the chilled section which is lovely.
