Dd is cmpi and I'm avoiding soy aswell. I also have a feeling that wheat, eggs and rye really upset her.
We are having first good day in ages so don't want to disrupt things now!
She is 14 weeks and ebf.

Looking for recommendations for recipes, websites, books, eating out, products-best shops for safe foods and tips for out and about. I'm hoping things can be more exciting than rice cakes and fruit!!

I don't have a huge amount of time to cook due to lovely dd but have been mostly making fresh stuff from scratch since I've started diet. Its really hard as I need more sleep and less washing up. Short cuts please!!!

I have already discovered pure spreads, booja booja choc ice cream

My biggest tip is to look on vegan websites for dessert ideas and egg free cake recipes. Parsley soup and pig in the kitchen are my favourites.

Oatly is the best substitute for milk IMHO and they also do a cream as well. Both are good for cooking with, making White sauces etc.

Worthenshaws ice cream is more readily available than booja booja.

When eating out, it is best to stick to big chains as they normally have allergy info more readily available.

Tofutti do a good cream cheese, which can be found in holland and Barrett. Don't bother with hard cheese substitutes they are all vile.

Oatly do a chocolate milk too, which is yum and makes a nice hot chocolate.

Kara dairy free milk is also nice, especially with cereal.

Well, I know this isn't very encouraging, but I have had to completely re-think the way I cook because DS is horribly allergic to about a zillion things. I found that just 'subsituting' the odd ingredient didn't really work for me, and was very expensive as well.

Good advice above though. Vegan websites can be very useful.
Still, I wish there was a website where we could just type in our children's allergies and it would come up with a list of useful recipes!!!

If your DD is okay with pulses and sesame, then houmous with veg. dips is a great snack for out and about. At home, meat-and-veg / roast dinners are good (but they can create a lot of washing up, and watch out for ingredients of gravy / stock cubes). Rice and pasta dishes can be great.

Good luck Smile
