Homeopathy - has it worked for excema/asthma?

I have a 3.5 year old who had excema from about 5 months and was starting to develop asthma from about 2 years.
I thought we were getting nowhere with constant trips to the hospital for nebulisers and use of inhalers. So I tried Homeopathy.
In 6 months, I have used no creams and no inhaler. The excema has totally gone and we have had no asthma all winter so far, despite a heavy cold.
Is this a coincidental "grow out of it" as the doctors said may happen, or have others also experienced anything apparently positive like this with homeopathy ?

I was going to say: those are precisely the things homeopathy has a good reputation for. Glad it worked for you.

Hi, I've been trying to help my friend find a remedy for her 21 month old daughter who has very bad exema. Exactly what type of homeopathy remedy worked for your child please? Thanks!

We went for a 1.5-2 hour session with an experienced homeopath (£45) and she prescribed Silicea.
But I am sure that the way homeopathy works is that it may work for one but not for another, so that may be of no use at all !

I think the problem with homeopathy is that is a very "exact" science, only works if the prescription and dose are extremely correct. It all depends on the doctor then, if the doctor is good it works a treat, if not so good it's totally useless. Where are you located? I have been trying to get a recommendation for a good homeopath and yours seems to be one of them

The homeopath we went to is from the Northern College of Homeopaths in Manchester

i bought some fish oil capsules for my kids in the hope it would help with concentration. nice man at the health food shop told me fish oils are also excellent for helping excema. lots of people use evening primrose but apparently omega 3/6s are even better

homeopathy has worked for me. After 20 years of migraine and many pharmaceutical medicines which didn't work, I was cured by a medical doctor using homeopathy. I have never stopped using it since and have been astounded by how well it has worked, and each and every time i am still astonished. And i am not alone, as HM Queen uses it and has her own homeopath, it's not just Prince Charles who is often ridiculed for using homeopathy. No one criticizes The Queen for using it, not calls her a fool. She is also very healthy for her age. Martina Navratilova and Boris Becker also used it for their tennis injuries and more.

I would never stop taking asthma steriod preventors unless a doctor , preferably your asthma specialist has given the ok.

you can grow out of mild ezcema, and your asthma can improve as you grow. but its up to a medical professional to determine if thats the case.

if your child had a few severe chest infections it might be worth checking to see if yor child has any scare tissue on lungs, again before stopping any preventor steriods.

It could well be a food intolerance.
