Could an allergy cause a temp in DD?

DD 18 month has just started having some allergys. Over the last week she has been getting a rash across her face and ezcema patches and her face swells. Last night she had an allergy to something rash started then swelling, then she was violently sick twice and developed a high temp. Is it possible for the temp and sickness to be from the allergy?

I'm not really sure but when my dd had a bad reaction to milk I remember the paramedics commented that my dds temp was raised.

You're not meant to have a fever as part of an allergic reaction, doesn't quite make sense from all the possible mechanisms involved. But you never know!

However when you have a fever you have a more pronounced allergic reaction because the immune system has already been activated for whatever's causing the fever, so it goes even more OTT when faced with an allergen. Hope that's of some help.

My DS actually goes the other way and he himself says he feels freezing. So I guess it could go the other way? Or would the body raise its temperature to counteract the coldness an allergic reaction gives? (btw I have no idea just hypothesizing!)

DS felt quite hot and sweaty after his reaction to milk. Didn't actually measure it though.

DD has a urine infection so that explains the temp. Poor thing shes not happy. And she had another 2 flare ups of allergies yesterday :(

mummy Last year before DS had his severe reaction he seemed to have the constant face reactions and only on his face. Eventually he was put on ceterizine course as it was diagnosed as chronic hives. I wonder if you DD has the same?

Maybe Youarekidding. Hers is only on her face so far and they are just coming up constantly. What happened when your ds had his severe reaction?

DD keeps swelling on her face and that is bad enough. Everything I have given her today has caused the rash. I really am at a loss what to do. She is also off her food so I am wondering if it is hurting her or making her mouth tingle.
