As a bit of an aside to dd1's (4) regular egg skin prick tests (which have stayed the same as ever- still allergic) she had a range of environmental allergen tests for pollen etc.
The dust mite hive measured 9mm and there was a smaller 'Al' mould one.
We were given a sheet on how to reduce dust mites in the home and it's reasonably do-able.
I stupidly didn't have any questions for the doctor as it was at the end of a lengthy appointment for dd1 and dd2s milk/egg allergies and discussions around dd1 starting school. I am kicking myself now.
Dd1 has eczema, which is particularly bad in spring/summer and always has a runny nose but otherwise is reasonably healthy. Dd2 is similar - she will be tested for the same in August when she has a baked egg challenge.
I'm slightly confused by it all tbh and a bit sad. dd1 has been though a fair bit with various food allergies, eczema and is very protective of dd2 who also has a milk allergy (although in a strange way having a sister who also has allergies has normalised it a bit for her).
I just wondered if anyone had any advice as to what it all means? Does it mean she's likely to get asthma? Everything I have read about dust mites seem to relate to asthma.
Thank you
