My son had a milk allergy from a young age and we were told that he would grow out of it by the age of five (it affected his bowels) at the age of 5 and 3 months he could tolerate milk and cheese so he went back on milk. When he was in year 1 at school he complained of joint pain he had trouble processing information and had dyslexic tendancies. I did put 2 and 2 together he was refered to a paedatrician who said take him off of dairy ( this was 5 months ago). I was called into school where his teacher told me that he has improved at an unbelievable rate and has no more joint pain he is now nearly 8.
The doc told me that children don't grow out of allergies the original symptoms can go only to manifest somewhere else (in my sons case the joints)
