Allergic to Marigolds?

I wonder whether I'm allergic to Marigold washing up gloves. Whenever i do frequent washing up, the skin on my k uckles and palms gets terribly dry, and I develop contact dermatitis on my knuckles. 15-20y ago I used to get this from the washing up liquid, so I got into the habit of always wearing Marigolds. But in the last year or two, I have started getting the dry cracking skin again. It's not yet as bad as it was before I started using Marigolds.

Could I be sensitive to them? And, if so, what alternatives are there, what do I need to look for?

It's poss. i suppose; you can buy those little cotton gloves (from all big chemists) to wear inside a larger size marigold. to help the dryness put moisturiser on before the gloves.

Also the moisturiser has to be pure shea butter, or vit e oil etc. The cheap advertised stuff is crap. IMO you can be allergic to that!

That's a good idea. I could try it and if it makes a difference then at least I know that the Narigolds are a problem.

Is it latex? I hought it might be the powdery surface inside the gloves, as I sometimes wear latex gloves for other tasks, and have not noticed any problem. If anything, my skin appears to be less affected by the latex gloves than by the Marigolds.
