Ok, I will start by saying, he's ok, no harm done etc etc......
but
we were at a party yesterday and I found ds2 in the other room being fed stollen by someone who shall remain nameless, but should bloody well have known better.
Now, I don't know exactly what was in it and he didn't eat that much of it, but it was likely to have dairy, egg, citrus (juice or rind) and almonds amongst other things in it.
DS1 was allergic to egg and intolerant to dairy (now both resolved thank goodness) and almost everyone on my side of the family has some sort of allergy, so we have been doing the allergy cautious weaning with DS2and are holding off until he's a year on most of the common allergens. With DS1, this same person, who shall remain nameless, was forever trying to feed him stuff that he was either allegic to, or was just completely unsuitable for baby/toddler.
I doubt if she could have picked anything with more allergens in it if she'd tried.
No point to my post really. I guess I will just have to turn back into helicopter mother when she's around.
Some folk just don't get it, do they?
