Do I test neocate/nutramigen on my pepti-vomiting baby?

My DS is almost 10mo and been on pepti-j for a few months for urticaria/vomiting/mucous poo. His bowels are much better but still gets mucous/loose occasionally and vomits about 1-2ounces milk after each feed.
Wondering if he needs something more but his wt gain is fine and he isnt getting rashes, his eczema is much better too.
The consultant had said give tiny amounts of dairy every few weeks and see what happens, well he vomits and get horrid nappies- with urticaria where the poo touches his buttocks :( so not doing that any more.
A friend that fosters had a huge supply of neocate and nutramigen left over from a baby she looked after, she couldnt remember what it was but left it for me in case it was the 'right' one for us.
So now I'm thinking do I try it?
Not got appt til he's 12mo and 1st appt was:
start pepti (had to wean BF for work)
give tiny amounts of dairy occasionally
give piriton if required
avoid egg/sesame

Do I wait and see what the doc says or try a few days of new formula and see if it changes the vomiting?

Thanks for reading

We were told NOT to give dairy at all by paed allergist. I think you need a new doc / second opinion. Neocate is elemental i.e. no cows milk protein at all, pepti and nutramigen both have highly denatured cows protein. When DS reacted to pepti we were moved to neocate lcp.

Could you get a refferal to a paed allergy specialist?

He is a specialist at Manchester children's hospital and my 2nd opinion! 1st opinion @ local dgh said carry on weaning onto aptamil and keep an eye out for resp symptoms in which case go to a&e! Also said carry on with egg and all dairy.
The specialist said latest evidence shows complete avoidance can extend time it takes to desensitise ie give tiny tiny amounts and body gets used to it.
However this isn't the same for other allergies, he's not to have egg or sesame at all as giving even tiny amounts of them can instead increase reaction.

Thanks, have started the neocate. Will use the tub and see what difference it makes.
