Can't believe it - ds's eczema has returned!

Not full body "I'm having an allergic reaction to something" rash.

But not just the odd dry bit in the creases either. He's 2.5 now and his eczema has been much better for a whole year.

It took my right back to the bad old days. I had thought we were past the worst, but now it looks like it's coming back.

He's on a strict diet, he's had allergy tests and we have fantastic cream.

Just wanted to go ARGGGGGGGGGGGGH really.

Could he have come into contact with a plant while out playing?

Hope it stays a small flare up for both of you.

Isn't it frustrating, I don't think that people who haven't experienced it really understand how it feels.

Hope you get his outbreak under control soon and he feels more comforable.

You've done well to have it better for a year. I have suffered for nearly 30years in various places and it drives me mad!

Yes, we are in spring here and there have been lots of outside in shorts days. The rash is on the back of his thighs (and shoulders) so would be right for plant/sandpit etc.

Just what you need!!! How is ds coping with it???? It's hard enough dealing with the food allergies without dealing with this too. Hopefully it might just be something from outside but very frustrating until you work it out. Have you checked for any ingredient changes in his foods???? My ds does not really suffer at all however he gets little bits if I feed him wheat or dairy foods more than once a week. Good luck with it.

It's all gone this morning - well as much as it ever goes. We know to nuke any bits that bad with our strongest cream now - whereas before we were diddling about with HC1%.

It came back again - it's gone in the morning, but by evening it's angry and red.

bobbybob how is it going??? Do you think he may be in contact with something new through the day that is making it flare up?? Is it the days he goes to nursery??

Bobbybob, my nephew had the most horrendous eczema when he was a toddler, his mother tried everything including seeing a white witch!! Eventually it cleared up and he had beautiful skin. However, this summer at the age of 6, he had another major flare up which has now gone again. I guess it's just one of those things unfortunately that we all have to put up with.

MY dd2 gets these patches of dry skin which is sometimes red and very itchy on the tops of her arms and legs etc. I have been using

this range

of bath lotion and creams... find it helps with those patches. SHe also will get a flare up of sorts on her feet - I have used calendula cream to contain that...

You have probably tried all of this anyway...so if you have - ignore me

Hi

Sorry to hear about this. My daughter suffered eczema. She has just turned 3 years and I have it well under control. I have stopped using hydrocozone cream but still use aveeno moisturing lothion and balinium bath oil but that is it. Her skin looks perfect and you will see from my posting that she used to get really sore. My secret is 1 capsule of evening primrose oil given orally each morning. It really worked for her and she is allergic to grass. Sometimes she does get the odd red patch but doing her routine with her and keeping on with the evening primrose by morning it is gone. I really wanted to try something natural as I worried about using these hydrocotzone creams since she was 4 months old. Her and my life has changed since this. I am so happy I have to tell people in the hope that it may work for their bairns.
