Morning ladies - I have beeen on allergy threads a few times as ds 6yo suffers allergies to tomato ketchup and has awful hatfever.
I know many of you have dc's that suffer extensive and varied allergies.
I thought I would share with you some information I have read this morning for your information, experience, knowledge or views on it.
There is a theory that children who have a natural vaginal birth have different bacteria on their skin and in their mouths and nose to babies delivered by c section.
The theory is that vaginal born babies pick up bacteria in the birth canal which boost their immune system therefore c section born babies are more likely to develop asthma and allergies.
This interested me as ds was born by ECS.
Although asthma, hayfever and excema also run in my family so could be a genetic link?
A thankyou in advance for anyone sharing their stories.
