Since there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated dry Jam thread I thought I would start one and see if I get any company.
I so need this. Drinking has made me feel sluggish, anxiety ridden and awful. I remembered how great I felt doing it last year but slipped back into old habits far too easily.

Went the pub yesterday as planned to meet a friend, had a few drinks and came home early, no after pub drinking - stayed up too late watching Netflix - so my sleep app didn't approve. I'll be off booze till Wed - when we are meeting another friend at the pub - realistically - there's going to be a lot of this as we haven't been as sociable in Jan and have a lot of catching up to do - but no more drinking after the pub.

Well I shared a bottle of wine last night with my husband. I didn’t get the usual buzz and that feeling of relaxation like I used to get from it. And although it was supposed to be a nice one, I didn’t think it tasted especially nice either. After having my second glass I got the munchies and ate 4 chocolate biscuits.

So I’ve decided to do a ‘dry Feb’ for the rest of this month.

Well done to everyone else who’s been on this journey. It’s made me realise that alcohol is really over rated.

I had some wine last night as it was a special occasion and it was then the worst night's sleep I've had in a long time. Back to being without alcohol now for the rest of February! I've popped over onto the 100 days thread, so farewell to this one and thank you all xx

Well done everyone who stayed dry or was less damp than usual👏

First time I’ve managed dry January, I normally cave right at the start so I’m pleased and still dry currently. I really want to stay dry because I feel good for it but I’m going on a cruise in a couple of days and alcohol has always been part of our evenings on board so who knows if I’ll stick to it!

If I decide to stay dry I’ll definitely join the 100 day thread. I do feel much healthier for being alcohol free.
