Rash?

Reluctant post here because I'm very much in denial. Over the last year my drinking has definitely become worse. I routinely drink a bottle of wine a night with the very odd night off.

I don't have dependence symptoms (in that I have no shakes or physical symptoms that I have noticed) but I definitely get to 5 or 6 pm and I'm looking forward to a wine. I don't get absolutely wrecked (tolerance is high from regular consumption I guess). Anyway, over the last week I have massively reduced my drinking. I've had Thursday and Friday alcohol free. Went out Saturday and drank a bottle of wine mixed with sparkling water (still a bottle but on a night out I would usually drink gin and tonic and get wrecked), Sunday I had a 3 glasses of Prosecco at dinner with extended family but stopped around 8pm and last night nothing. I am planning on drinking nothing all week and limiting alcohol to weekends.

So to the reason for my post. I expected sleep issues and very much am having them. I am hoping that will change over time and settle down. But this morning I have found a rash on my torso just below my left breast in the rib area. It's a localised area but very itchy. Is this something others have had after reducing alcohol? I'm taking vitamin supplements including magnesium, zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C and B vits but only just started taking them.

Just looking for thoughts on this really.

I developed a rash after reducing my drinking, it lasted around 3/4 days and then went away

Hi I developed shingles on one occasion- very painful rash- tiny blisters over my chest wall on one side- Got medication which helped. My GP also advised I take high dose Thiamine a B vitamin which can be depleted in alcoholics like you & I.
