How should I feel about this?

Short background, I've been a heavy drinker for years, was ready to stop when dh talked to me about it on Monday. Told him I'd stop, and I've stopped. Day 4 today. I'm over the moon, really delighted with myself. I feel great and I'm in a great mood. However life is life. Dh yesterday turned off the freezer and we lost a huge amount of food. I was annoyed. Today he watched me cook and clean all day without lifting a finger so I called him out on it. He said I've been in a bad mood all week trying to start arguments. I'm so hurt, but I can't say a thing. Needless to say my good mood is gone and I feel like crying. But still not one urge to drink! I'm so proud of myself but this has knocked me down. It sounds petty and pointless now I've written it down but I'll post for opinions regardless. Thanks if you've got this far.

How are things with your DH usually? Is he feeling weird himself about the new teetoal
you? (If he drinks himself, it can make people feel judged and then they act odd, even if they know you wanted and needed to stop).

Thank you. Things are OK, we have a very solid marriage and he's a good kind patient man. But our relationship has been affected by my drinking. But he thinks I need a break, whereas I think it's time to quit. He's probably just waiting for me to slip up. But we've been chatting all week, even joking about it. I'm just hurt. I dunno.

And you don’t think you’ve been in a bad mood? It’s quite odd that you have totally different perceptions of that. I expect he’s just a bit a) annoyed with himself for the freezer fuck-up and b) wondering if you giving up drink changes things so c) is overreacting to your annoyance over the freezer etc.

On reflection I think we're probably both on edge yes. I think we might just need to be kinder to each other. Thanks @NoSquirrels for your perspective.

Congratulations OP. I took vitamin B complex when I decided to stop drinking.

Trying here and in awe of you.
I get in a really bad mood on my af days. Not that I'd admit it.
I hope you continue, you're doing great.
