Worried about ex friend.. what to say ?

Had to end a friendship the other day. She has excluded me and picked on me the past few months, since I got engaged. We're both 34 and she is single for a few years. It all just built up.

She was v cruel to me last week so I said nope and ended it. She has text me apologising but I'm over it.

I am planning on sending a blunt text about her drinking issues but would love some advice ? Her brothers and both wives have tried to intervene and she doesn't speak to them anymore.

Should I say in the text please see your gp over the drinking? Please look up online ?

She drinks approximately 2 bottles of gin, 2 bottles of wine and minimum 8 cans a week. That I know of.

Or do you all think I should just leave it ? I'm worried about her drinking but will take any advice here.

I'd leave it.
None of her issues will impact you anymore if you are no longer friends, and you also don't get to tell her what to do.

I'm not telling her what to do. She's had constant issues now with her liver and I still care for her. She's gone off the rails and I want to help her.

The thing is, you can't do anything about her drinking. Only she can do that and only when she wants to. So you can text her but it won't do any good unless she's ready to seek help. I suppose it can't do any harm, and at least you will feel like you've done all you can. I hope she gets the help she clearly needs.

I never felt like I was able to talk to her. If it makes sense it was an abusive relationship/ friendship. I was never allowed to comment on anything.

Her drinking has gotten a lot worse since a death in January.
