Alcohol support

30-52 units a week!?

So , Iv just worked out with my partner that I'm having 30-52 units a week !! The wine I drink is 7.5 units per bottle and I drink all that . So either every other night or every night . Is that bad !? I didn't even realise till I calculated it . I don't exactly get drunk either Confused just tipsy . Says woman's recommend amount is 14 units a week Confused ???

Guidelines are 14 a week . No more than 6 in one go for women or 8 for men . Not drinking alcohol on consecutive days. At least three days alcohol free a week

Eek Op, that is a lot! Hopefully you can nip it in the bud now you are aware. Try a no booze February. If you can’t do a no booze Feb then try AA!!

That is a lot. I used to drink like that until I did my first dry month and started moderating after.

I stay under the limit now and feel so much better. Plus drinking a lot less means I can afford to buy nicer stuff for when I do have something.

My reason for moderating was that I realised I was drinking out of habit rather than for real enjoyment. These days I enjoy what I do have properly, and am happy to take it or leave it.
