Alcohol when pregnant

Hi guys I'm looking some positive feedback if there is any. I didn't find out I was pregnant until 28 weeks-Massive shock. I was on birth control and still getting periods, I'm slightly over weight so no noticeable bump. I'm currently 34 weeks. My anxiety is through the roof as I've been drinking most weekends up until I found out. Usually one bottle of wine every Saturday night. I'm worried sick that my baby is going to have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I've explained everything to my consultant and all scans look perfect so far but he can't guarantee anything until baby is here. Has any had/heard of a similar situation with a positive outcome?

I have heard plenty of stories where baby is fine. I know you are worried but worrying can on add to the issue if there is one. What will be will be, you did not do it on purpose and I am pretty sure it will all be fine

Worrying will not ‘add to the issue if there is an ussue’. What a thing to say!!!!

Speak to your midwife and get a consultants opinion too if you need it. But it’s very likely all is well. The kids I know of with FAS had mums that drank way more than that and almost every day sort of level. You didn’t know, and you will look after this baby very well.

I'm really sorry I didn't mean it how it came out in text. I think I was tying to say worrying will only stress you out and I hope the rest of your pregnancy is as calm as it can be. Congratulations by the way. I hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy
