The first time I sort of did, for a child that we didn't get at the last minute. Actually, it was really my Mum doing the nesting. She flew over and helped me set up the nursery and put all the baby stuff together.

Between losing that child and getting DS DH had started working from home, along with two employees. So the nursery had been packed away and was functioning as an office. We had very little time between DH finding proper office space and DS arriving so it was all a bit of a rush. And, no surprise, we are sort of in the same situation now. We have been matched, the planning meeting is on Friday with handover to start very soon afterwards and we can't even start to get the room ready yet. It's a good thing that advanced planning ability isn't a deciding factor in being accepted as an adoptor.

I didn't know you were adopting another, congratulations.

She is 13 months, and totally cute and gorgeous in the photos, all round cheeks and big eyes. How about your prospective new DC?

we got dd at 14 months. we have requested a girl, as everyone seems to be doing, and hopefully between 9 and 12 months.
ss were talking about twin girls that were born late last year. they may be hard to place and i did mention to dh if they agreed to funding some help i would consider it he went white so i havent persued .

Yep, I nested madly. Spent weeks sewing curtains, cushions, other crap for his bedroom, all while watching Friends on DVD. Drove my husband round the bend.

don't think I know how to nest - but then I was planning a major expedition rather than a child appearing from someone in the same coutney!
