I'm trying to trace my adopted brother - any ideas how???

Could anyone help me? I have absolutely no idea where to start.

Have tried looking up info on the internet but cant make any sense of it.

My (older) brother was born in '79 - I think the adoption agency was somewhere called smedley hundro in Merseyside (found it in an old address book of my mothers so assuming)

I know the name my parents gave him, but have no idea of what his adoptive parents called him.

I can find out his exact date of birth.

I'd really appreciate any help! thanks for reading x

wishing to trace my adopted brother but have not got a clue where to start. my mum explained to me and my sister about this child she had giving up for adoption in 19-61 {I think}. all through our lives we heard the sad story of how my mum had no say or choice in having him adopted .that's how it was in them days. my mums words after talking about him was always "I didn't want to let him go , I would love to find him" AND SHE WOULD ALWAYS CRY. my mum passed away with cancer, me and my sister cared for her at home and while I was with her she said to me "Michelle" if you ever find Terrence please tell him I never wanted to give him up and tell him I always loved him. I would love to do this for her but how or where can I start ? . michelle
