Considering adoption

Hey!

First time poster, so please bare with me.
Hubby and I have been together nearly 9 and a half years. We have never been "careful" when it comes to s*x. We both said to each other when we first got together, "if it happens, it happens" with regards to having children. I would just like to point out, we have known each other 6.5 years before we got together.
Unfortunately, any conceptions we have had, have all resulted in miscarriages. All conceptions for us have been miracles as I have a low egg count (diagnosed in 2016).
We have been looking down the adoption route rather than IVF for a number of reasons, the main one being spending money out when it could fail, just as our other pregnancies have and it therefore taken a HUGE toll on both of our mental health states.
We live in a gorgeous 3 bedroom house with my MIL. Our spare bedroom would be the childs bedroom, however; I'm not convinced it is big enough to pass the inspections by the council/adoption agency.
Does anyone know what the size requirement is for the UK?

thank you so much <3

Sorry for all your losses.
I haven't heard of bedroom size being a requirement, just that there has to be a bed room for a adopted child.
You are best to ring a few local agencies and ask them what their requirements are.

Hello, I'm also sorry for your losses!

I'm sure a small bedroom won't be an issue, a bed and some drawers and toys suit most kids.

Good luck x

Our 3rd room is tiny. The wardrobe is on top of the box that covers the stairs and there's just enough room for a bed and a chest of drawers. SW took one look at it and said 'he's such a climber, he'll love it when he's old enough to sleep in a high rise bed'. It was also balanced by the size of the garden and having plenty of space downstairs to play indoors.

Our box room has a single bed in, a large chest of drawers and a cubed storage unit. We've got a huge living room, with "office space" as well as a front reception room, and a large garden so hopefully should be okay. Thank you.

I'm so sorry for your losses.

Our adopted son is in our box room. He's fine.
