Card for new arrival

A member of our local community has just adopted a baby. I don’t know how old. Would it be acceptable to give a traditional baby card or should I find a specific adoption card (if they exist?)

A traditional baby card is definitely fine! :)

I had traditional its a boy baby cards - my son was nearly 8 on arrival ! All very much appreciated

I had a mix of 'It's a boy' cards, new arrival cards, specific adoption cards, congratulations cards and blank write-your-own-message type cards. All were very gratefully received.

Any card, please get a card. It's so important for both parents and child to see they're valued.

Yes, definitely! I've kept all the cards we received in a scrapbook to show our LO that so many of our family and friends were excited to hear of his arrival.

This. As an adoptive parent, it meant so much to us to receive the (small number in contrast to birth child 😔) cards that friends and family sent. I was only sad that there weren’t more.
