Our beautiful son

This should perhaps be in the bereavement section but I feel such a link with mums and dads on this thread. Our beautiful son died on Sunday he was 21and despite having multiple problems it was so unexpected.
We adopted him when he was 5, he was deafblind and cerebral palsy due to his mother taking vast amounts of crack cocaine and not realizing he had pneumococcal meningitis.
He did so well learning on body sign language enjoying the wind in his face and going over cobbled streets.
Everyone loved him I am totally numb, l must keep going for the other 4 but am heart broken. Sorry to burden you here on this thread but feel you will understand.

Oh no, I am so sorry to read this. Your deep bond and love for your son, and all your children shines through. There is nothing that can touch the pain right now, but in time the comfort for your family will be in those precious shared memories.

Thankyou so much for your thoughtful comments. My heart is broken but must soldier on for the other four.
Sadly I feel I have to raise the issue of that my permission was questioned regarding procedures as I was not his "mother". Managed to get the legal documents and slapped them down. Nursing staff were brilliant and did all the shouting for me.
Anyway once again thank you so much. I miss my beautiful boy so much but one blessing no searching for a residential home who would care for him to my standard.
