SW code in a CPR

So if you read 'constantly needs to be reminded of boundaries' throughout CPR and Carer's report, would it worry you? There are many positive statements linked to how this area has improved during foster care but still the word 'constantly' crops up throughout.
Now, I know that the neurological syndrome this child has makes children prone to impulsive behaviour. So this fits what we would expect.
I'm actually feeling rather bemused by my own concerns that I'll have to constantly remind (nag) a child...DD has her own needs in this area so we are used to doing it, and used to the onlookers. I think that's the thing for me, I can see more of the same heading our way but magnified. I feel rather guilty that something so mundane could be worrying me. DH can't understand it. But then I would be the one doing most of the public parenting.
I tell myself that given the child's history, the fact that they are needing constant boundary reminders would look less of a big deal if we saw them as toddler-level in their behaviour (despite their age). But then I think, well that's fair enough but it will still need dealing with and obviously the FC saw fit to comment on it.
Argh! Sorry for waffling, just wanted a handhold/grip handed to me from the wiseSmile

tldr · 03/03/2017 09:09

We'll make you a Welcome bench on the other side and just leave it waiting for you.

Kr1stina · 03/03/2017 11:34

I can paint benches . I don't mean in an artistic way, I mean applying wood preservative so they don't rot.

comehomemax · 03/03/2017 19:53

Choccy, so excited for you. I will join you round the burning bench for a glass of something fizzy when the day comes.

flapjackfairy · 03/03/2017 20:56

Yes well done. How exciting!

Don't burn it yet, I wanted to paint it 😭

Wonderful news! Flowers

I had some similar concerns with DS, FC was very inexperienced and they had zero experience of a toddler.

When questioned a bit more in person it was clear they were talking about standard age appropriate behaviours, yes he was and is FULL of beans but some of the language used to describe him/his behaviours even his own SW who knew him from birth didn't recognise the child they described. Emotionally he was a little young for his age but bloody hell who wouldn't be in that situation!

15 months later I still don't see what they saw, however he has since morphed into a threenager so I may be eating my words any day now!

I asked so many questions of his SW and the FC I'm sure they thought I was going to back out!

exciting times ahead for you, I've never know such excitement, nerves, fear and sheer joy all within the hour that was matching panel 😱

Now...have you planned your outfit and your intros book 😁

ChoccyJules · 06/03/2017 22:25

No and no.
There will be two other full days before matching panel, including meetings with school, FC, medical advisor, um don't know who else...a bump into meeting Grin and a planning mtg and other stuff I can't remember.
Matching panel is late April.

ChoccyJules · 07/03/2017 19:46

So I assume making the intros book comes after meeting FC etc, ready for panel? We haven't discussed it with our or their SWs but I assume we'll do a teddy (or similar) in the photos then take teddy to intros?

MintyLizzy9 · 07/03/2017 20:04

Yes I had to take mine to panel for them to look at, then when you get the BIG FAT YES LO's SW will take it away and deliver to foster carer, DS's SW was ordered by panel to deliver it that afternoon 🤗

tldr · 08/03/2017 01:39

Yes, also took ours to panel, which means yes, you're making them with no guarantee panel will say yes. We found that hard. (Although I'd have thought panel less likely to be as random as some of your shit so far...)

ChoccyJules · 08/03/2017 17:54

Yes, about the only thing not too random so far was our approval panel.
Though they did have to end the chairperson out for a chat as they were concerned about some medical info re. DD in the PAR. So were we as we'd never bloody seen that paragraph! The SW admitted it was a cut and paste job from the internet...
