Thanks everyone - for all the kind words and support. I will post more photos when I'm over the jetlag and staying up a bit later in the evenings.

Dinosaur · 25/01/2007 12:29

Oh how marvellous - well done Sue!

Tutter · 25/01/2007 12:29

Yay! Welcome back! Looking forward to hearing how everything is going!

(Hijack - I made DH turn down a job in Almaty last year! Reading your blog confirms it was the RIGHT decision!!!)

I have had over 40,000 visits to that website! There was either some very obsessive poepl checking it 50 times a day or a lot more people were reading it than I realised... I need to go back and reread it, make sure I haven't offended anyone important!

AitchTwoOh · 25/01/2007 20:37

i had missed this, only just looked at the blog for the very first time today.

ooh suejonez, i am so glad that you are danielsmummy now. you are clearly a wonderful woman and a devoted parent. a thousand congratulations, and daniel is of course just edible.

Aero · 25/01/2007 20:40

Oh, how wonderful - I only found the blog the other day and am thrilled for both of you.

hester · 25/01/2007 20:43

Congraulations xx

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 20:44

I'm not a particularly wonderful women (despite trying to convince people of the contrary). Adopting Daniel was motivated by complete selfishness, it's was only transformed into something slightly more self-less when the random child became a face and personality and I realised how much he deserved and that it was down to me to give it to him.

And I'm a slightly slapdash parent - but am beginning to think that making it up as you go along is the normal state of affairs.

Perigrine · 25/01/2007 20:46

I am really pleased you and daniel are home!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog, and even my DP is uptodate with your progress. Hope that little Daniel settles in well at home.

And now we can get back to discussing the important things - like The Archers

Perigrine · 25/01/2007 20:48

Oh and your profile is wrong - it's says you don't have any children - have you forgotten about the one in the cot in the next room

AitchTwoOh · 25/01/2007 20:49

oh sorry, i'm not referring to your happy new baby when i say you're wonderful. you're no doubt absolutely just as useless as everyone else in that regard...
no, i was meaning from your posts generally. and i had wondered where you'd got too so i'm glad that you've been away picking up your boy. congratulations to you and your family again.

Plibble · 25/01/2007 21:12

I've only just found your blog recently and have had a few little (happy) tears reading it. Congratulations and welcome home both of you.

suejonezisdanielsmummy · 25/01/2007 21:56

Peregrine - I couldn't work out how to change my profile - blame it on the jetlag!

SherlockLGJ · 25/01/2007 21:59

It was bloody Holodna here in Surrey today, I learnt this from your blog.

I used it on our Russian receptionist this morning and she was tickled pink.

So very happy for you all.

frumpygrumpy · 25/01/2007 22:16

Yeah!! Happy days Sue and Daniel xxx.

frumpygrumpy · 25/01/2007 22:19

I think about you every time I see the advert that uses "leaving on a jet plane". I remember you singing that on here in the lead up to your departure. Now I'm singing "Daniel is leaving tonight (ahem arrived) on a plane" How fantastic. Not without difficulties but how fantastic. I particularly liked your description of falling asleep and him reaching out for your arm

EmmyLou · 26/01/2007 10:00

At last! Congratulations and welcome Daniel

vitomum · 26/01/2007 11:45
