Same sex adoption

Hi, me and my partner are starting on the adoption journey. Has anyone on this forum been through this process? I appreciate the process for same sex couples is the same but I'm also aware there may be some differences. Any advice???

there's a "pink guide to adoption" out there, which is nice as it has a few first hand accounts of specific couples' experiences.
There's also a memoir called "do you really have two mums" or similar... but I found it less engaging.Also it was written a fair while ago when adoption for same sex couples wasn't actually possible and one partner had to adopt singly, so a lot of the process they speak about is outdated (thankfully!)
