Laughter is the best medicine

Not had a very good start to the day here. First I heard that consideration BPs' application to oppose AO has been deferred again - I applied in March and I'm finding the wait v stressful.

In addition my LO has been doing settling in sessions at nursery this week which were going far better than I had expected but today when I left him for an hour and a half he was crying on and off for the session. He looked exhausted when I collected him.

I decided to make pancakes when we got in as they are his favourite and had the radio on in the background. For some reason I misheard the weather forecaster who said 'for some parts of the UK' as some bastards! i really got the giggles and my little boy who is two copied me. Since then he keeps commanding me 'more' and then he giggles. i have found pretending to laugh has made me laugh and has been very therapeutic. I feel v lucky.

The whole process is so stressful isn't it- we haven't applied for the AO yet but I'm not looking forward to that bit! It's great to be able to share funny moments with the LOs, even if they don't fully understand the joke. A good reminder as to why we are all doing the whole thing!

Yes, keeping yourself stress-free is really important. What may be the situation, we should keep our cool and laugh all the time.
