I use Facebook regularly to keep in touch with friends n family far afield. How much can I use it after adoption? Really not sure what is safe, would it be better to set up a new account under a false name?

We decided not to put photos on Facebook (even in private groups, as frankly I just don't trust Facebook...) and we don't mention the DC by name in posts - one birth child and one adopted, but we decided we should treat them both the same where possible. I do occasionally feel sad that we can't do the same as most other parents (all those "first day back at school" photos coming up soon, for eg) and I'm rather burying my head in the sand at the moment about what to do when DD wants her own social media accounts... But on the whole, it's not the worst thing in the world, and does stop me boring my friends about just how goddamn gorgeous they are Smile

We use a Shutterfly site (password protected) for sharing photos with family and friends instead
