Hello all

Some very dears friends who live far away have just had a baby placed with them, they live in Scotland so I believe next is to get the adoption order. My question is how do I mark this? I want to send a card, what is appropriate? It's a girl? Congrats? Or plain?

I don't have money to buy a present but will send some of my dds things and just want them to know how happy I am for them.

Tia

Any or all in my view - they will be delighted to get a card! You could see if there are any adoption ones or alternatively if you know someone who makes then they could do a special one for you - wouldn't cost more than a special shop bought one

My two were both 10 months when placed and I was delighted with the new baby cards as it made me feel like I was being treated just like any other new mum.

There are loads of new baby cards that are appropriate.Just avoid the ones that mention "birth"

You can get adoption cards too but these were more appropriate for the actual formal adoption celebration day.

I got a lot of baby girl and congratulations cards. DD was just under a year. I was thrilled with them all :)

Good, just don't want to do anything wrong. Love them dearly and am so happy for them
