Matching panel in a few days

Feeling nervous. Any advice?

Hi all, my husband and i are newbies to this site. Hope i am doing this properly? We are going to matching panel tomorrow, husband very calm and collected but i am knots inside. Any guidance/advice most gratefully received. I am thinking they will ask the question "Why him?" and perhaps something about attachment as he has made very strong attachments to his foster carer. Any other suggestions for questions that could come up? (Sorry not sure of all the short hand codes etc yet!!)

Have a look at all the lovely advice people gave me a few weeks ago on this thread. My recent experience was lovely - much less stressful than approval panel. It started with some general discussions with sw and fc about child's needs and we were encouraged to ask questions. Then the fc left and we talked about 'why him' and why us. They did ask if we had thought about school (depends on age of child but ours is nearly school age) and a few questions about how we might deal with potential issues. Really, don't worry. This is just the beginning!

I really really enjoyed matching panel... cried before, during and after.

Had panel in tears and LO's SW too.

Nothing like approval panel.... I hated that one....

They want this as much as you do.... believe me... its not a trick.. more a rubber stamp... you've done the hardest bit....
