Can anyone recommend a book or paper on the culture in academic institutions?
I'm thinking of something like 'watching the English'

I think I may have had an office in the same building @YellowAsteroid , but in my time it was permanently surrounded by protective scafolding to protect people on the ground.

My office was on the eight floor and we got brilliant views into the security helicopters ferrying Heads of Government to the G8 one year.
