How to get from London to Bristol in middle of night?

Sorry brain not working very well at the moment - I might need to get short notice transport from London to Bristol overnight (tonight)) but the only train options are from Paddington to Bristol arriving 7:20am, does anyone know any other transport that runs overnight? Tried national express coaches and mega bus, both not until morning.

If anyone has any thoughts I’m missing I’d be grateful, thank you

*(Title amended by MNHQ to make it clear that the OP's trying to get from London to Bristol, not the other way round)

My mum had similar. Well, she had a stroke and a resulting fall in November. It was a scary time but she's pootling around pretty normally now, has new medications which help prevent. She had lunch with her friends at the weekend. Also 84 with heart problems. Parents are such a worry!

I must go to bed but I hope everything's all right, will keep the thread on watch in case you want to update us.

Mini strokes can be a warning that something bigger might happen if action isn't taken to prevent them.

The paramedics are likely to spend some time assessing him at home before deciding whether to take him in - they were almost 90 minutes with me when I was ill, and then there will be a wait for handover at A&E.

The early train to Temple Meads will get you in at 7am, and by then you'll know which hospital he's in.

Thank you, that’s reassuring. Glad your mum is ok now.

Thanks for your reply. They seem to have arrived quickly and are heading to hospital for assessment. I hope the queues to get in & to be seen aren’t too long..
