You remember how it snowed the night before the last day of term and so there was no school on the last day of term....

... for many? Well, due to lacking organisational skills, the tin of roses (or similar - can't remember which) chocolates that were for the teacher and TAs in DS's class is still here, wrapped up.

Do I take them in when school starts again? Or do I keep them to eat myself share with DS, DD and DH?

Eat them. Now!!!!

Would be my suggestion

thelunar66 · 02/01/2010 20:52

God, I have same dilemma. 2 big tins.. one of Roses and one of QS.

Sitting on top of kitchen cupboards.

Just a couple of pink fudge ones wouldn't harm, would it?

RustyBear · 02/01/2010 20:53

Take them in!
(completely impartial advice in case the school is the one where I work )

Actually they will probably be more welcome at the start of term, when all the goodies from last term have been eaten.

NoahAndTheWhale · 02/01/2010 20:53

I think it's because it's wrapped up and labelled that I am hesitating...

cookielove · 02/01/2010 20:53

i would take them in

Amapoleon · 02/01/2010 20:53

or you could send them to me and I will eat them guilt free

NoahAndTheWhale · 02/01/2010 20:54

And now the fact that people are suggesting they would be enjoyed at school

You have had them in the house for what, two weeks, and not yet succumbed?

In that case your need is clearly not medical like some of us

take them in!

jobhuntersrus · 02/01/2010 20:54

Eat without a doubt. Ds1's teacher was off sick on the last day of term so we ate her box of chocolates.

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 02/01/2010 20:55

Well I would wait for the day of their return if it's another snow day then eat them - you'll need them - if not give them 1 tin ;)

Hulababy · 02/01/2010 20:55

Take them in.

(am a TA so biased, lol!)

WingsTHEangel · 02/01/2010 20:56

Take them in and let the teachers put the weight on from eating them.

cornsilkcremeeggspotter · 02/01/2010 20:56

definitely take them in - you will be very popular!

NoahAndTheWhale · 02/01/2010 20:58

I'm not so well resrained - we have been away from 23rd December until a couple of hours ago .

I will take them in on Tuesday

PavlovtheCat · 02/01/2010 20:59

you forgot, they think you don't care, damage is done so just eat them.

Not sure I would even have got as far as asking the question before eating the strawberry ones. But, no-one likes those ones so its ok right?

thisisyesterday · 02/01/2010 21:00

oh just eat them woman! i would

TeamTennant · 02/01/2010 21:00

We're taking ours in. DS has presents for his teacher to take in.
But I haven't really got an excuse, as I teach there too!

thelunar66 · 02/01/2010 21:01

Its snowing here now, massively. You may be snowed in first day of term.

Eat the chocs.

Lonicera · 02/01/2010 21:02

Luckily i took my dc pressies in the day before as they should have gone to church on the last day so couldn't have carried them up to school after.
Otherwise i would probably have eaten / drunk them
Take them in the staffroom will work there way through them , Jan a tough term!!

NoahAndTheWhale · 02/01/2010 21:09

It's not allowed to snow again

StanleyFletcher · 05/01/2010 04:49

Take them in - they will understand the lables/wrapping etc. Actually, no.. everyone in the staff room will be dieting so eat them and take in a few packets of pink and whites with a jokey notes

VinegarTits · 05/01/2010 05:15

Eat them!

Teachers will still have stacks of chocolates left, we got some and handed them to teacher who promptly threw them into a box full of presents (i mean FULL, about 20 pressies) all wrapped up and shaped like roses, i wished i hadnt bothered after i saw that

RustyBear · 05/01/2010 11:32

The teachers at your school must be a lot more restrained than us Vinegartits - we have been known to dispose of a tin of Roses in one day.....
