a new thread for us all. Most of us do Farmville, but we play quite a range of other games between us so weather you're into Mafia Wars, Farming, playing Bejewelled, Farkle, Cafes or any other games and you just can't stop - and your OH is bored sick of you saying

"Oh I levelled up" or "ooo I've got ribbon/mastery/whatever" - then this is the place to be. Even if we don't play "your" game we're still happy to hear you talking about how you're doing on it.

rumour has it that CW is down whilst they set up the "ribbon" thing as on FV

I'm not convinced though, as I think they would give a little notice if they were doing that

simpson · 21/12/2009 21:54

Noooooo

I have got food that will go off at 10pm

TBH if they do maintenance work they normally give notice

Oh well, am working my way through my farms in the mean time

SantaWears2SnowShoes · 21/12/2009 21:59

thanks
what do you do with a jam maker?
I do admit to cheating and spending £6.50 so that I could get a bigger bit of land lol

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 22:00

what do you do with a jam maker............erm make jam

  • more seriously - you can use fruit from the trees and grapes along with the honey to make jam.
OP posts:
simpson · 21/12/2009 22:00

2shoes - jam is made from either grapes or fruit from trees combined with honey.

Can't remember how much £££ you get but quite a bit.

Am sure ALFA will remember

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 22:02

I've just helping on friends farms on CL atm - give me a few minutes and I'll tell you how much you make on the jam

OP posts:
simpson · 21/12/2009 22:03

I know you get much more for grape jam than normal fruit jam iyswim

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 22:07

well - yes in "money" terms - in profits it's not that much different.

You see you have to look at profit not just selling price - so of those selling prices are deceptive

Got my expansion and my knitting machine yesterday on CL. It has been playing up a lot since then. Think I levelled up too but can't remember when exactly.

Got my first star on roses and something else on FV but levelling up seems to take forever these days. Oh and I have just done the first star on peas. Will have a star for everything very soon and then I can work on getting the second one.

KickKnackGotRunOverByAReindeer · 21/12/2009 22:15

CW is back online...you can now earn medals

Jux · 21/12/2009 22:22

Hello, I'm new here and haven't been playing long. I'm on FarmVille and Farm Town atm.

I am also using dh's fb so dd can farm too. I've asked my bro to tell me his fb password so she can farm there too, but he hasn't obliged so far!

As Awassailing knows, I have been worrying about eggs! I got at least one mystery egg in my coop and didn't know what to do with it, until someone told me that you can collect them from your neighbours. So I signed in as dh, went to 'his' (really dd's) farm, then went to mine to get eggs but no luck. I then (still signed in as dh) went to my profile, but no eggs there either.

simpson · 21/12/2009 22:26

knickknack - yes just got on too

All my food ok too!!

Have got all the medals for 2 things already

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 22:28

ok - profits (and xp - including replanting) for each of the stuff (except the weaving machine - haven't got one of those) on CL

Clover: 5 coins - 1xp
Honey: 5 coins
Milk: 10 coins - 2xp
Cheese: 17 coins - 3xp

Wheat: 13 coins - 1xp
Flour: 27 coins - 2xp

Corn: 20 coins - 1xp
Eggs: 42 coins - 2xp

Tomatoes: 16 coins - 1xp
Ketchup: 35 coins - 2xp

Carrots: 9 coins - 1xp
Angora Hair: 19 coins 2xp

Grapes: 11 coins - 1xp
Wine: 25 coins

Grape Jam: 25** coins - 3xp

Bread: 175 coins - 6xp

** 25 coins is the profit based just on the cost of planting the grapes. Obviously if you're planting clover (to get the honey) purely for jam (ie not using it for milk, cheese, bread etc) then actually it's less

I don't have the figures for extra money made on the other fruit jams

OP posts:
simpson · 21/12/2009 22:33

grape jam sells for 135 coins

jumpers (wool) sell for 95 coins
jumpers (angora) sell for 118 coins each

nymphadora · 21/12/2009 22:34

I want a jam machine and a knitting one and a bread one and a wine one >

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 22:38

oh yes so it does -

so add 5 coins onto what I said 30 coins (but still the **) and 3xp

Wool Jumper: 60 coins - 3xp (I presume)
Angora Jumper: 43 coins - 3xp

Oh and I forgot the Sheep in my other list

Wool (Sheep): 28 coins - 2xp

CL and FV both playing up for me tonight. ALFA - you need to add me as a friend on FB/FV/CL don't think i have you and want to have a nosy round your farm!!!! - initials VB....your initial are ??

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 23:13

my initials are GM (picture of 3 little boys all dressed in red - which really needs updating as if you look at my pictures on my profile you'll see they've rather grown up )

My farms are rather boring - mainly based on making £££'s and gaining XP fast

OP posts:
nymphadora · 21/12/2009 23:41

Alfa just reqested you, couldn't say who I was cos I am on my phone!

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 21/12/2009 23:42

OP posts:
simpson · 21/12/2009 23:45

Grrr CL keeps chucking me out

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 22/12/2009 00:17

ooooooooooo only another.........7377 blueberries to harvest

will get level 36 on CL tomorrow though

OP posts:
Awassailinglookingforanswers · 22/12/2009 09:48

yay - level 36 on CL

OP posts:
simpson · 22/12/2009 11:27

might give up on CL as getting bloody fed up of having to do things over and over

I harvested my wheat at 10am this morning and planted more so it will be ready at 10pm tonight.

Just gone in to play it some more and the wheat is back again fully grown and am not going to stay up till 11.30pm tonight.

This has happened a few times now

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 22/12/2009 11:57

awww - don't give up on it. What I do when it's playing up (like at the moment) is plant up, and then check back fairly soon afterwards to make sure it's still sorted.

I bet they're getting more new stuff sorted out hence the glitches
