about these Peter Kay tickets?

We've managed to get tickets for Peter Kay next May, dh is really excited, he's a big fan. Anyway, we've got two tickets for the first saturday which are ok but are quite high up. We've also got four for the second saturday which are brilliant, 5 rows from the front.

I'd like to give a pair of tickets to my friend for her 40th, she'd be really pleased with them, but the problem is in May we'll have a 5 month old dd who I'm hoping to bf. The shows are in Manchester and we're in Surrey so we'd have to go up overnight...

The question is, is it really mean to give her the slightly less good tickets for her birthday so I can leave dd with her when we go to the following saturday so she can look after our dd (she lives in Manchester)?

I would be OK with that, although her present shouldn't have any bearing on it...

Sounds fine. No need to mention your seats.
I'm really pleased I got some for the o2, but that's not until November.

cremedementhe, dh is trying for November at the O2 as well, it'd be much easier for us, we could then sell the Manchester tickets (or give them to my friend for her birthday )

I'm glad no one would think I was being mean giving her the less good tickets. So what do I tell her when we come up to Manchester the weekend afterwards and ask her if she doesn't mind looking after dd for a few hours in the evening? I can't pretend we're not going there, that would be really rotten wouldn't it?

You just don't mention the seats you've got, or be vague. Then hide when you turn out to be in the DVD

BoF! I could wear a disguise

shouldn't matter what the seats are to her a pair of tickets for a big show like this is a very generous present.
