CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:49

Lulumama · 29/06/2009 18:49

how old is she?

if you love the house and it is your price range , buy it !

room for the grandchildren to stay

TheFool · 29/06/2009 18:50

Go with the 3 bed. Lots can change at 18

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:51

Im not in love with the house

maybe I could grow to love it ......

grandchildren .................eek

this is the move to get away from mil

think it is still too close though

OP posts:
Lulumama · 29/06/2009 18:52

i don't think you should count her out at this stage. find a house you love and take it from there. far away from MIL !

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:53

thanks the fool

think you may be right

OP posts:
TheFool · 29/06/2009 18:54

(Saying that I am married to the boy I moved in with at 18...)

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:55

lulamama

tis not far away

but tis not next door ....
mind you this week with ds with chickenpox

doorstop emergency supplies may be called on

maybe she could bring us one of the meals on wheels she delivers....

dd brought the shopping in this morning with her friends help on a moped..

In your shoes I would work on the assumption that the mild-mannered and lovely BF is actually a wanker who will dump your DD with indecent haste the moment someone better comes along, breaking her heart and forcing her to run home to the bosom of her family.

Or maybe that was just my DD.

Anyway, 18 is very young. The likelihood of her being with him forever is slim, and she needs a bolthole at least until she's able to support herself entirely on her own. Keep the 3 bed.

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:56

the fool

you are confusing me

are you still married to him ...

OP posts:
CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 18:58

hassled
sorry about your dd

must say i do not trust him

strange I thought ...

I was back and forth to my parent's home until I was about 27. I left many times and returned many times. Keep a spare bedroom, especially if you love the house anyway.

nickytwotimes · 29/06/2009 18:59

...and even now, me and dh and ds are constantly visiting the oldies. And there is always space if we fancy staying.

Doodle2u · 29/06/2009 19:00

Regardless of your DD, it's clear you are not that fussed about the house. I say keep lookking and find the house that you really love.

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 19:02

nicky

agree I even ended up back home long after I had left

It is good to go home

OP posts:
CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 19:05

doodle

there are some plus points to the house but not many

we only have a week before we need to hand over the deposit ...

guess I should get off mn

OP posts:
TheFool · 29/06/2009 19:33

yes, I am still married to him, but I think I must be in the minority to be married to the boy they met at that age.

If there aren't many plus points, I would say keep looking, do you have time to look, or need to move now?

CynicalCinders · 29/06/2009 19:36

need to move for a lot of reasons

but this house has to have a lot of money put down for a deposit in three chunks

and then you pay rent as well ...

the house we are in is going to be sold

but it is owned by dh sister ....
