Isn't she fab for not hiding or surgically improving her slightly crepey tummy!?? I feel really quite cheered.

What are you not impressed with SEA? Do you think her body looks a bit flabby and less toned than you would like to be? That is the point! Her body is not perfect but she is happy to show it and has not resorted to surgery to correct it.

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:07

Yes this photo made me too. Especially as my figure's not that far off hers - well, the top half anyway! My legs are nowhere near as long and lean.

I've always found her dull as an actress, but in this photo she looks lovely. Who cares if she can't act?

MadamAnt · 07/05/2009 17:07

MrsMattie - lookie here

Bit strange then her tum is as taut as a 18 yr olds when she has (I believe) talked of the saggy/wrinkliness post-childbirth. I'm guessing she may have been airbrushed a weeny bit.

She looks fabulous, her figure is fab. I wish I had legs like that.
Not keen on the 'tramp stamp' though!

stitchtime · 07/05/2009 17:08

i always thought my tummy was vile, but mine looks like that... and actually, since i have more of an hour glass shape, andbigger norks, doesn that mean i look better than her?

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:09

MadamAnt - I assure you, Posh has never even heard of an airbrush.

She's such a pinched, miserable old prune, isn't she? If that's what money and fame does to you, she can have it.

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:10

Stitch - you sound gorgeous (cause you sound like me! )

southeastastra · 07/05/2009 17:10

no dg, i'm just confused why people are impressed when she just looks normal. i certainly don't think she looks flabby!

are we all so used to warped celebrities that we have to get excited at seeing a normal person

MadamAnt · 07/05/2009 17:12

LOL at creepy. My tummy is creepy at the moment. My tummy button has a life of its own and pops in and out as they baby moves around.

Grin
MadamAnt · 07/05/2009 17:17

SEA - I guess the point is that she has chosen to look normal in the face of inevitable criticism and despite the fact that she could easily have had secret surgery to regain a typical film star figure, and then make out that she achieved it all through good genes or whatever.

OP posts:
MrsMattie · 07/05/2009 17:17

Yes, I think the media is so warped and has warped people' s idea of beauty that much@southeastastra. When we see someone like Julia Roberts - someone lauded as 'beautiful' and someone we normally only see in airbrushed shots or using body doubles in films - on the beach looking like a normal (admittedly still pretty hot) mama, it's nice. It should be totally normal, but it's not, is it? Posh would be outraged f she was snapped like this. No soft lighting. No make up. No Photoshop....

stitchtime · 07/05/2009 17:20

MrsM, we are both gorgeous i like this mutual self agrandisement idea

SEA, yes, we are so used to seeing plasticised slebs, that when we see normal people, we find it odd.

southeastastra · 07/05/2009 17:24

hmm do get what you mean. sad though.

bleh · 07/05/2009 17:27

Man, this may make me sound like a nutter, but anyway. I remember the faint shock when I went to the beach for the first time in ages a couple of years ago, and noticed that shock horror! most women, even 17 year olds, have cellulite. (it had been a while since I'd been swimming or anything like that).

I'm sure they only did the tiniest bit of airbrushing on the Posh pick

SoupDragon · 07/05/2009 17:30

I'm impressed that she looks normal because usually, slebs don't. Usually they look so far away from normal it's unbelievable (see the VB Armani photo for an example).

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:54

bleh - it made me laugh that in another article linked on that page, they had a piccy of (who's that blonde actress who shagged Jude Law? - her) with a quote saying she 'admitted' to having cellulite!

Like, duhhh! It's a bit like someone 'admitting' to having toes.

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:55

Stitch, this is me on the beach

MrsMerryHenry is only my undercover name.

HuwEdwards · 07/05/2009 17:56

wait till she sees the pics, she'll be under the knife quicker than you can say 'pretty woman'

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 17:58

God, I hope not, Huw. Anyone know JR's email address? Let's send her a link to this thread.

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 18:01

She looks gawwwwjussss

So pretty,

I wish i had her figure and tummy.

stitchtime · 07/05/2009 18:04

mrsm, i couldnt access te link.

LoveBuckets · 07/05/2009 18:06

Julia Roberts has broken the unspoken rules of Hollywood a) not having crepe-tummy correcting surgery and b) by enjoying herself in public with it on show. This means she will now enter a world of crap scripts for middle-aged actresses.

That photo of Posh is freaky and her hair is just a little chavtastic in it IMO.

jellybeans · 07/05/2009 18:06

I like JR anyway but like her even more now. She looks fab. Like has been said, she looks NORMAL for a mum, especially of twins.

MrsMerryHenry · 07/05/2009 18:07

Weird, it works fine for me. again? It might take a few seconds to load. It is a true representation of me, I promise.

Otherwise you can also see me here
