minxie i was suggesting she gave chris brown herpes from a cold sore, oral sex is cheating obviously

pingping · 17/02/2009 17:06

I am not defending him either so dont get your knickers in a twist but there is two sides to every story.... No one knows what led him to beat her up for all you know she could of been beating on him as there was previous reports of that happening and he may of switched in which case I wouldn't blame him.

Domestic volience works both ways.

pingping · 17/02/2009 17:09

She also dropped the charges Dittany and there was reports that there was a car crash and Chris brown had dumped her as she was over jealous of him being around other women and that she lied about him beating her up.

No one will know nothing its all speculation at the moment Rihanna hasn't even come forward and said it was her that was beaten up.

Are you for real????? So what women never beat on a man your chatting breeze Dittany most men won't report acts of domestic violence.

I am not sticking up for no one but I know if I punched up a man I would expect as good as I got.

Its not an excuse either I think is awful what happens to some women but I for one do believe it can happen both ways.

As for Chris Brown until an offical statement is realised I will not have a view on what happened.

Also yes she may of had herpes before she got with Chris but it wouldnt of taken him a year to work that out.

pingping · 17/02/2009 17:20

I have witnessed first hand at a woman attacking her husband and stabbing and kicking him.

Also my Cousins partner is very violent towards to him and he won't go to the police or hospital because he feels ashamed so don't tell me it don't work both ways when it clearly does. GET A GRIP

YeahBut · 17/02/2009 17:22

No excuse for violence. None.
Anyway, do they mean to imply she has given him genital herpes or passed on the cold sore virus, because AFAIK, they are very different strains?

Hmm

"He's been arrested, she hasn't. You're talking nonsense or rather you're talking like a typical apologist for male domestic violence against women."

exactly how is saying you will wait until you hear all the facts before making judgments "talking crap"
as i said there are reports of violence on both sides.if that's the case maybe chris brown was embarressed and didn't want to report? if she has dropped the charges then why?
i'm not saying i know what happened.the media reports could be completely spot on and he could have just beaten the crap out of her, in which case i'd happily condemn him as the scum of the earth.
or as others have suggested could be true, she could have been violent towards him and he responded, in which case imo t completely changes the situation.

if you want to be hyperbolic i could claim you are a man hating "women are always the victim" no matter what they have done reactionary, but that does nothing to add to the discussion. i make no apologies for men who abuse women, just as i make no apologies for women who abuse men.
waiting for all the relevant facts does not mean i support domestic violence

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 18:19

Oh ffs of course DV works both ways.

I speak as a victim of it myself so am not a crazy liberal. I also have a friend whose girlfriend used to burn his bum with fags when he was sleeping 'for fun'. She utterly controlled him and he was too ashamed to admit it.

Fact is violence against men goes unreported because of the pride issues.

I read this as Gordon Brown, very bizarre image in my head.

edam · 17/02/2009 18:53

I saw some stats once that attempted to correct for victims who don't report domestic violence - think it still came out as something like 80 or 90 per cent of victims are women.

Domestic violence is wrong whatever the gender of the victim but it is the case that women are far, far more likely to be hit by men. (Also, violence can exist in same-sex relationships.)

pingping · 17/02/2009 19:04

Dittany I wrote threads about it when it happened. You need to get real you think that 15 yrs having sex are sexually abused before hand and that it could never be the case that a woman may beat and control there partner. Do you live in a bubble? No one is debating that alot of women suffer from domestic Violence but just stating that it works both ways.

I have not defended his actions at all I just am not jumping on the media bandwagon until all the facts are shown and the fact he handed himself in and hasn't offically been charged of anything who are we to comment something like this could ruin his career if its true or false in fact regardless of the truth it has ruined his career.

Claire236 · 17/02/2009 19:07

Just because women are usually the victims of domestic violence it doesn't mean men can't be. Dittany I think you're totally out of order telling someone else what the situation in their family is - how would you know.
